Godrej Properties acquires 48-acre land parcel in Doddaballapur Bangalore
Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL) has acquired a 48-acre land parcel in Doddaballapur, North Bengaluru. This acquisition is intended for a plotted development project, which is projected to have a development potential of approximately 1.1 million square feet.
Doddaballapur is emerging as a significant real estate hotspot in North Bengaluru due to several factors, including its proximity to Kempegowda International Airport, the development of the Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR), and its location near key industrial hubs and Nandi Hills. This strategic location is expected to enhance connectivity and stimulate real estate activity in the region. Gaurav Pandey, Managing Director and CEO of Godrej Properties, emphasized that this investment aligns with the company’s focus on expanding its presence in key growth corridors through well-planned residential communities, and Bengaluru remains a priority market for them. This acquisition further solidifies Godrej Properties’ existing presence in North Bengaluru, where it already has a portfolio of ongoing and completed projects.
In addition to this North Bengaluru acquisition, Godrej Properties has also made other strategic land acquisitions recently. On July 16, the company announced its entry into Raipur, acquiring approximately 50 acres of land for a plotted development with an estimated saleable area of about 9.5 lakh square feet. This Raipur project, located near Old Dhamtari Road, will primarily feature premium plotted residential units. Earlier in June, Godrej Properties in Bangalore also revealed plans to develop a premium residential project on a 14-acre land parcel in Hoskote, East Bengaluru. This development is expected to offer approximately 1.5 million square feet of saleable area and has an estimated revenue potential of ₹1,500 crore . These acquisitions collectively demonstrate Godrej Properties’ strategy to diversify its land bank and expand into high-potential, emerging real estate markets across India .
